Terminal Die State
1794 1C Head of 1794 -- Corrosion -- NGC Details. VF. S-51,
B-42, Low R.5. Our EAC Grade AG3. Ex: Mervis Collection. Breen
Die State IV. This is the very rare late or terminal die state with
a heavy die crack in the lower left obverse field, from the border
to the second hair curl. The details approach VF 30 on this heavily
corroded steel-brown cent. Light brown toning appears on the high
points.Ex: Denver Spring ANA Bourse (5/2012); Greg Hannigan.
