Description

Appealing 1926 Gem Sesquicentennial Quarter Eagle

1926 $2 1/2 Sesquicentennial MS65 PCGS. Vivacious luster sweeps this well struck and reasonably preserved Sesquicentennial quarter eagle. A well executed strike emboldens the design elements, and both sides yield a beautiful mix of peach-gold and mint-green patina. By coincidence, Indian quarter eagles were also struck at Philadelphia in 1926, for the first time since 1915, which was also the last previous date that quarter eagle commemoratives were struck.(Registry values: N2998)
