Description
Henry VIII (1508-14) Half Groat ND, S-2323, York mint, keys below reverse shield for Archbishop Bainbridge, VF Details "chipped planchet" NGC, but an entirely normal coin, the portrait good and sharp, ancient gray patina. Flans or planchets during this period were hardly ever round, hardly ever not cracked or chipped, as these coins were struck without collars, by hand, using the centuries-old method of coining.More information about Great Britain Coins.
