Description

A Business Strike Sovereign Without Equal

George V gold Sovereign 1911-C MS67+ PCGS, Ottawa mint, KM20, S-3970. Completely unmatched in quality, not only for the date, but for all Canadian sovereigns of George V, with no other examples in either the PCGS or NGC census matching the grade of the present coin. Therefore, as one might expect, the quality is truly astounding, with highly radiant mint bloom that enlivens the surfaces, a strike that leaves no detail to the imagination and surfaces that are absent the marks and grazes that so often plague this type. Rounding out the appeal, premium toning is visible mainly in the reverse centers, and adds a flare of uniqueness to the presentation of the iconic allegorical motif. For the collector of strictly business strike issues, this coin should carry with it rarely surpassed significance.
