Description

Elusive 1904 Barber Half, MS65

1904 50C MS65 PCGS. Surprisingly rare in Gem quality for an issue with a mintage approaching 3 million coins, the 1904 is normally found with sharp design details and satiny luster. David Lawrence comments: "Pick this coin off in MS if you can. Most dealers will sell it as a common date."
Dale Friend selected this incredible Gem for his collection, exhibiting bold design details and exceptional satin luster beneath light gold toning that is slightly deeper on Liberty's cheek. It is a wonderful representative with few peers. Population: 7 in 65, 5 finer (10/08).
Ex: U.S. Coins (Houston, Texas).
