Description

Desirable AU55 1874 Five Dollar

1874 $5 AU55 PCGS. A number of tiny abrasions affect each side, and a dig is noted behind Liberty's hair bun. Still, this lightly worn coin retains considerable eye appeal, with the strongly reflective lemon-gold luster foremost. An interesting piece from one of the few half eagle issues to have a lower mintage than its three dollar counterpart. Population: 13 in 55, 5 finer (2/09).(Registry values: P3)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25WN, PCGS# 8333, Greysheet# 8921)

Weight: 8.36 grams

Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
