Alfonso VI Counterstamped 500 Reis ND (1663) XF45 NGC, KM438.1, LMB-28, Gomes-44.02. Type IV crowned "S00" counterstamp (AU Standard), struck on a Portuguese João IV 400 Reis from the Lisbon mint. Quite nice for the issue, with mild wear to the central devices of this fascinating piece.From the Vila Rica Collection
