Denmark: Frederik V gold "Armored Bust" 12 Mark 1758-VH MS63 NGC,...
Description
Frederik V gold "Armored Bust" 12 Mark 1758-VH MS63 NGC, Copenhagen mint, KM585, Fr-262, Hede-23. Peter Nicolai von Haven as mint master. A brief two-year variant in the Frederik V "kurantdukat" series, the King appearing here in armored wear and with helmet. This date is much more commonly found of the more standard, non-armored type; four having been sold at Heritage since the last "Hjelmtype" appeared in 2017. The present Choice specimen is tantalizingly flashy in appearance, bound to attract heavy attention from Danish collectors. From the Eternal Collection, Part III
