Description

Christian VII gold Ducat Specie 1792 MS65 NGC, Altona mint, KM650, Hede-2, Fr-283. An elusive Danish gold emission dubbed the "Wildman Ducat", a four year series produced over an eleven year date span from 1791 to 1802. Heritage has only had the pleasure of offering four previous examples (three different dates) of the type. The current selection boasts a special level of preservation, achieving the only Gem assignment known for this date among examples spanning both major grading services. The surfaces are bold, flashy, and boisterous; the honey-kissed cartwheel luster taking center stage upon viewing. Part of an enticing array of classic Danish material from the Eternal Collection up for sale in this auction, which should provide collectors of this country's coinage many items of interest.
