(1694) 1/2 P London Elephant Token, Thick Planchet, MS63 Brown
PCGS. Hodder 2-B, W-12040, R.2. This is the usual variety of
the London Elephant token encountered, and a popular choice for
colonial type collections that seek a single example of all the
major designs. This Select Mint State piece has splendid
chestnut-brown surfaces with steel-blue patina and traces of mint
red on the reverse. Population: 16 in 63 Brown, 6 finer (3/18).
