Newman 5-D Restrike
(c. 1828) TOKEN American Plantations 1/24 Part Real, Restrike
MS62 PCGS. Newman 5-D, W-1160. The heavy die crack on the right
obverse identifies the most familiar of Newman's restrike
varieties. This sharply struck and unmarked representative retains
its initial silvery luster in protected areas, while the open
fields have toned deep gray and exhibit the granular texture
invariably seen on both originals and restrikes. Listed on page 39
