Victoria gold "Shield" Sovereign 1838 MS64+ PCGS, KM736.1, S-3852, Marsh-22 (R). An exemplary grade for this early issue, graced with a rich orpiment tone and teeming with luster. Inspection of the devices reveals intense intricacy, which, in combination with the selection's scintillation, has no doubt earned the plus designation by PCGS.
