1795 C-5b, B-5b Half Cent, Fine 12
Thick Planchet
1795 1/2 C Plain Edge, No Pole, Thick Planchet, C-5b, B-5b, R.4,
Fine 12 PCGS. Manley Die State 1.0, the only recorded die state
with a diagonal die crack through the wreath. Like others of this
variety, the area below the crack is on a higher plane and shows
less detail than the area above the crack. This pleasing piece is
struck on a thick planchet and exhibits light olive-brown surfaces
with inconsequential handling marks including a small scrape in the
left obverse field. Our EAC grade VG10.From The Mark Hays Collection of Half Cents.
