1868 2C PR66 Red PCGS. The fifth year of two cent production saw at least 600 proofs struck. Only 76 of the 314 submissions at PCGS qualify for a Red designation, and of those, just 18 make the Premium Gem level (one in PR66+). Two coins are certified finer (11/21). Both sides of this example showcase vibrant copper-orange color and partial field reflectivity and contrast. Carbon and contact are minimal.(Registry values: N2998)
