Challenging Date in the Copper-Nickel Series
1861 1C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1861 Indian cent is
conditionally scarce in MS66, but CAC-endorsed examples in this
grade are decidedly rare; CAC currently lists 18 MS66 CAC coins and
three finer (6/16). The present example is razor-sharp with glossy
bright, bronze-gold luster and outstanding eye appeal. Population:
