Highly Lustrous Surfaces
1891 5C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The 1891 is a scarcer date in the
series, even though more than 16 million pieces were produced.
Strike quality varies, but many examples are found with several
areas of weakness. This is a highly lustrous coin with strong
strike details -- the only weak area is seen on the left ear of
corn, as found on most dates. Untoned. Population: 37 in 66 (5 in
66+), 2 finer. CAC: 10 in 66, 1 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2776, PCGS# 3852, Greysheet# 2956)
