1871 50C PR67 Cameo NGC....
Description
1871 Half Dollar, PR67 Cameo
Bold White-on-Black Contrast
Tied for Finest Certified
1871 50C PR67 Cameo NGC. The 1871 Seated half dollar claims
one of the most-available circulation strikes in the series, yet
high-grade Cameo Proofs are rare from the 960-piece proof
production. This is a brilliant, high-contrast example with thickly
frosted raised devices set against silver mirrorlike fields. As
expected, the strike is needle-sharp. Some angled die striations
exist from the upper-right rim to the eagle and beyond, and the
lower-left vertical shield stripes are incomplete -- all
Mint-related anomalies on the 1871 proofs. NGC Census: 2 in 67
