Description

Württemberg. Wilhelm I gold 4 Ducat 1841 MS62 NGC, KM-X1, Fr-3615. Commemorating the 25th anniversary of his reign. An exceedingly lustrous and elusive one-year type, with a mintage of just 6,236 pieces. Only a few light contact marks prevent a choice designation, but it nevertheless remains an impressive specimen. The reverse features a civic deity seated slightly left, holding a scepter and resting her elbow upon a coat-of-arms; she is being presented with a cornucopia (symbol of abundance) and fasces (symbol of power and authority) by two children who flank her.
