1826 1/2 C C-2, B-2, R.3, AU53 PCGS. Manley Die State 1.0. The 6 is punched over a horizontal 6 that was mostly effaced. Remnants of the first 6 are visible on this attractive olive-brown example. The 1826 C-2 half cent, although carrying a modest R.3 rating, is surprisingly difficult to find in higher grades. This is an important opportunity for the specialist.
