Smooth Surfaces, Original Toning

1826 50C O-104, R.3, MS64 PCGS. A crisply struck and well-preserved half dollar with uncommonly unabraded surfaces. Plum-red and tan-brown toning encompasses the borders. An early die state without cracks near 50 C, the arrows, and AMERICA. Among the most desirable Overton-104 survivors. The Autumn 2021 Stephen J. Herrman O-104 Census lists MS64 through MS66 examples.
