Description

1927-D Peace Dollar, MS65+
Subtle Golden-Gray Toning, CAC

1927-D $1 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. A group of San Francisco issues (the 1924-S, 1925-S, and 1934-S) often claim to be among the rarest Peace dollars in Mint State, although the 1927-D is equally deserving of the honor. In Choice Uncirculated or finer grades, this Denver Mint date is scarcer than the 1934-S and nearly as challenging as the 1925-S. This high-end Gem coin displays both the PCGS Plus designation and CAC endorsement. Pearlescent silver surfaces show wisps of golden-gray patina and a sharp strike including Liberty's central hair strands. Bright mint luster accompanies essentially mark-free surfaces for excellent eye appeal. PCGS Population: 47 in 65+, 27 finer. CAC: 56 in 65, 6 finer (5/25).(Registry values: N2998)
