1833 1C N-2, R.2, MS64 Brown PCGS. CAC. Noyes Die State B/C. Die cracks through the date, the obverse stars, and the reverse legend identify this variety. Newcomb-4 has similar obverse die cracks, and N-6 has similar reverse cracks. A lovely example, this Choice Mint State cent has olive and light brown toning on the obverse with mostly light brown on the reverse, showing splashes of rich emerald toning. Our EAC grade MS60. PCGS Population for all 1833 varieties: 40 in 64 (1 in 64+) Brown, 21 finer. PCGS 1833 N-2 Population: 3 in 64 Brown, 1 finer (10/21).
