Description
British Dependency. Victoria Proof Penny 1859 PR63 Brown PCGS, KM14, S-7417, Peck-1520. By far the rarest of the three Isle of Man Victorian proof Penny types, its catalogue value over double that of the 1841 and over five times that of the 1839! Immaculately preserved, its chocolate-brown surfaces so sleek as to appear conservatively graded, perfectly glossy and eye catching in its brightness. Its devices are as sharp as can be and without even a hint of wear. Minor hairlines are present in the field, but to nowhere near the extent one would expect on a PR63 specimen. This piece would not look out of place in a holder one or two grade points finer. A must have for the accomplished Isle of Man collection.Metal: Copper
Diameter: 34mm
