Augsburg. Free City "City View" Taler 1643/2 MS63 NGC, Augsburg mint, KM77, Dav-5039, Forster-298. With the name and titles of Ferdinand III. Date reworked from 1642. An issue which occasionally approaches, yet very rarely meets, fully Choice Mint State certification, making the present offering a particularly appealing find. Remarkably bright in the fields (naturally so) compared to the dark toning often exhibited for the type, we would note a few small scratches through the reverse city view, which likely cap the assigned grade.From the Cape Coral Collection of German Coins, Part I
