Description

Bavaria. Karl Theodor Taler 1799 MS64 NGC, Munich mint, KM600.2, Dav-1966, Schön-152, Hahn-347. A slightly scarcer type featuring the instantly recognizable reverse design with Madonna and Child bathed in a pervasive mint frost that leaves little further to be desired. While slight striking weakness and adjustment marks that are endemic to this series accompany the piece at hand, this does little to detract from the clearly superior conditional preservation as confirmed by NGC's census where the next finest remains an MS62.
