Transitional Year, MS65 Brown
1857 1C Large Date, N-1, R.1, MS65 Brown NGC. Grellman Die
State b. Repunching below the 8 and die lines above NI in UNITED
are no longer visible on this 1857 Large Date cent with rich
mahogany-brown surfaces. Strong central detail is apparent on the
portrait, wreath, and denomination, while the stars show trivial
softness. Smooth and glossy, as expected of a Gem. Our EAC grade
MS60. Census: 10 in 65 Brown, 1 finer (2/18).From The Star Mountain Collection.
