1820 50C Square Base 2, Large Date, Knob 2, O-105, R.1, MS62
PCGS. The early die state, without the cracks at the date.
Little metal flow appears in the margins, giving the fields a flat,
smooth, and satiny appearance. The border stars and central devices
all yield superb sharpness. Much of each side is brilliant with
only traces of champagne color, although a couple russet toning
spots on the reverse at the top of the eagle's beak and in the
