Description

1947 Walking Liberty Half Dollar, MS68
The Sole-Finest Certified Example

1947 50C MS68 NGC. From a mintage of just over 4 million pieces, the 1947 Walking Liberty half dollar is generally available, and examples are occasionally seen even in MS67 and MS67+. However, this is the only example certified in MS68 at either of the leading grading services and ranks as the sole finest 1947 Walker known (10/25). Vivid multicolor toning encompasses each side, complementing a bold strike, with clear separation between Liberty's thumb and fingers on the branch hand. Both sides radiate vibrant mint luster, beneath the toning. Eye appeal is excellent. Census: 1 in 68, 0 finer (10/25).(Registry values: N2998)
