Description

1917-D Obverse Half, MS65
Satiny Mint Luster

1917-D 50C Obverse MS65 PCGS. While not especially challenging in lower grades, the 1917-D Obverse is scarce in Gem condition and almost impossible to locate finer. It is also one of the small number of issues in the subset of Walkers that have the mintmark on the obverse. The mattelike surfaces have a layer of bright satiny luster and the strike details are strong throughout, and there are no mentionable abrasions. Population: 78 in 65 (2 in 65+), 6 finer (10/19).(Registry values: N2998)
