1860 Half Dime, MS66
Transitional Judd-267 Pattern

1860 H10C Transitional, Judd-267, Pollock-315, R.4, MS66 PCGS. CAC. This transitional issue could be described as "Stars Obverse, Legend Omitted Reverse," as the back side only displays the HALF DIME denomination within a wreath. Only 100 of these coins were struck during the transition of moving the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to the obverse. This lovely Premium Gem shows deep multicolor patina on each side with excellent preservation and a bold strike, save for the usual weakness on the lower reverse. Population: 9 in 66 (1 in 66+), 9 finer (1/16).
