Plain 5 Logotype
1865 2C Plain 5 MS65 Red NGC. CAC. Two date styles labeled
Plain 5 and Fancy 5 are identified for the 1865 two cent pieces,
and both are necessary for an advanced collection of these coins.
The top of the 5 is gently curved on this Plain 5 logotype. This
lustrous Gem features brilliant orange mint color with minimal
carbon flecks of no consequence. NGC has examined a mere 34
numerically finer examples that they designated as Red (2/24).Selections From The Towers Collection.
