Description

1854-O Arrows Seated Liberty Dime, MS66+
Sole Finest-Certified at PCGS

1854-O 10C Arrows MS66+ PCGS. CAC. Apparently struck from a Fortin unlisted die pair or die state, showing light die clashing on the reverse but none of the diagnostic die cracks or other identifiable characteristics of the listed Fortin varieties. The 54 in the date is "open" and high.

This coin is certainly among the finest 1854-O examples that exist, with frosty, brilliant surfaces and a hint of lemon-gold patina at the rims. Virtually mark-free and fully struck, it is the only Plus-graded PCGS coin at the MS66 level with none finer. CAC endorsed. Population: 2 in 66 (1 in 66+), 0 finer (1/16).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 239B, PCGS# 4606, Greysheet# 4100)
