Description

Edward VI (1547-1553), in the name of Henry VIII gold 1/2 Sovereign ND (1547-1551) AU53 PCGS, Tower mint, Grapple mm, Fr-174, S-2393, N-1865. 6.10gm. A scarcely seen hammered gold type in any state, let alone the phenomenal condition presented here. Rich hues of earthy reddish tone envelop the seated portrait of the youthful king, and while there is the typical weakness in strike, the luster is strong and nearly full throughout.

Metal: Gold
Diameter: 33mm
