1893-CC $1 AU53 PCGS. VAM-2A,...
Description
1893-CC Morgan Dollar, AU53
Lustrous and Lightly Circulated
1893-CC $1 AU53 PCGS. VAM-2A, but lapped post-clash. Carson
City struck 677,000 Morgans in 1893 before production was halted.
The branch mint was subsequently closed permanently, making the
1893-CC the final Old West issue. This AU53 piece retains good mint
luster on mostly brilliant surfaces, displaying tufts of champagne
on the edges. Typical softness shows over the central devices.
Marks are grade-consistent with AU53 pieces, with only one diagonal
cheek mark worthy of note. Conditionally rare in Gem, the issue is
almost unattainable any finer.(Registry values: P8, N208)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255S, PCGS# 7222, Greysheet# 7610)
