Description

George III Counterstamped Bank Dollar of 5 Shillings ND (1797-1799) AU53 PCGCS, KM634, S-3765A. Host: Mexico Charles IV 8 Reales 1794 Mo-FM (cf. KM109); Counterstamp: Type I oval bust of George III (UNC Details). An appealingly toned specimen of this scarce counterstamped "Dollar" denomination, featuring generally lightly circulated detail and a crisp counterstamp. While we see no clear reason for the Details grade to the counterstamp itself, we note hairlines consistent with cleaning to the reverse.

Metal: Silver
