Description

1837 10C No Stars, Large Date, F-101b, R.2, MS63 PCGS. Only one set of dies was used to coin the Large Date 1837 Seated dimes. This is a mid-to-late die state with pie-shaped cracks on the obverse but no clashing on the reverse. The 7 is repunched. Rich patina features gold, violet, and cobalt-blue tones over smooth, minimally marked surfaces. Strike detail is good, and the reverse is rotated 23 degrees.
