Description
Edward VII gold 5 Pounds 1902 MS62 NGC, KM807, S-3965. Business strike specimens of this date are certainly scarce, especially in designations approaching Choice Mint State and finer. Of the initial 35,000 minted, most were subsequently melted, leaving less than a quarter for circulation. Of the 200 or so presently certified, only two dozen are finer, making this MS62 a scarce offering, with only a gentle scattering of light ticks and wisps limit the fully lustrous piece at hand.Metal: Gold
Weight: 3.5g
AGW: 1.1775oz
Melt Value: $2,217.23
Gold Spot: $1,883/oz (05-06-2022)
