1853-O 10C Arrows, F-105, R.4, MS64 PCGS. CAC. The large, thin date and oblique mintmark confirm the attribution. The 1853-O (1.1 million coins) is the key date among Arrows dimes struck from 1853 through 1855. High-grade survivors are rare, with Fortin assigning a Low R.6 rating in Mint State. A single example is graded finer than the near-Gem presented here. Typically struck on Liberty's head and the wreath bow. Each side is vibrant with satiny luster and glints of lavender-gold toning. Population: 3 in 64, 1 finer. CAC: 1 in 64, 0 finer (3/18).
