NORTHEAST GAUL. The Parisii. Ca. 100-50 BC. AV stater (25mm, 6.96 gm, 2h). NGC Choice AU 4/5 - 4/5. Class V. Celticized head of Apollo to right, with wavy hair; floral ornament before / Disjointed and stylized horse galloping left; rosette below, fan-like quatrefoil checkerboard design above. Delestrée & Tache 83. De la Tour 7777. Very rare. Struck on a broad flan. Reverse die breaks from later die state. Attractive lemony flan with orange toning on reverse.Auction Info
