Description
1885 5C AU55 PCGS Secure. A touch of friction on the upper cheek and on the curls above the ear account for the Choice AU grade for this important Liberty nickel key date. The stars show complete centers, and the wreath is similarly well-defined. A streak of gold patina traverses the lower left reverse. We note a couple of ticks left of the portrait and on the jaw.(Registry values: N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2773, PCGS# 3846, Greysheet# 2950)
