Doubled Die Obverse

1943 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS67 PCGS. CAC. Die
doubling appears as thickness in the letters of LIBERTY and on the
date numerals, with the 9 showing a more clearly doubled tail. The
Cherrypickers' Guide states, "This is one of the strongest
class VI doubled dies in the series, and it has always been very
popular among Lincoln cent collectors." This Superb Gem is a rarity
and among the finest pieces attributed at PCGS. Brilliant
zinc-silver luster and sharp detail adorn the pristine surfaces.
