Papal States. Pius VI gold 10 Zecchini Anno XII (1787) MS62
Prooflike NGC, Bologna mint, KM309, Fr-390, B-3012. 34.23gm. A
sought-after type in Mint State and even more so with this elusive
Prooflike designation, which only four examples at NGC have
received. The medallic devices of St. Peter and the Papal coat of
arms are appreciably rendered, the legends even deeper, all set
against pondlike fields that eagerly flash in hand. A lack of tone
furthers the piece's appeal, lending to unencumbered enjoyment of
