Description

George VI gold Proof 5 Pounds 1937 PR65 Cameo NGC, Royal mint, KM861, S-4074. Highly coveted in Gem quality, this largest denomination from George VI's coronation set obviously rested in its original box for ages, with minimal handling in the deeply reflective fields and light "box frost" around obverse legends. Thick, cameo-producing frost over George's portrait and lighter contrast atop the reverse motif further elevates the in-hand appearance.
