Charles V (1364-1380) gold Franc à Pied ND (from 1365) ND MS64 NGC, Uncertain mint, Fr-284, Dup-360. 3.76gm. KAROLVS • DI • GR | FRAnCORV • RЄX (annulet), crowned, mantled figure of Charles standing facing beneath a Gothic dais, sword in right hand, scepter surmounted by Hand of Justice in left / +XPC • VIИCIT • XPC • RЄGИAT • XPC • IMPЄRAT (mullet stops, annulet), cross fleury with crowns and lis alternating in angles within quadrilobe; lis in spandrels. Produced slightly off-center, with appreciable antique-gold tone and in remarkably fine state of preservation.
