1908 $5 MS65+ PCGS. The first-year 1908 is regarded as a type issue, but the third-party population thins dramatically at the MS65+ level. As of (9/19), PCGS has certified only 18 pieces as MS65+ with just 27 examples finer. The present plus-assigned Gem is well struck and displays rich apricot toning. The obverse is refreshingly devoid of apparent marks, while the reverse is smooth save for a field line below the AME in AMERICA.(Registry values: N4719)
