Description
1915 Quarter Eagle, MS66
Major Condition Rarity
Among the Finest Certified
1915 $2 1/2 MS66 PCGS. The 1915 survives in great numbers
through MS64, but like most other issues in Bela Lyon Pratt's
Indian quarter eagle series, the population dwindles significantly
in MS65. Premium Gems are major condition rarities. They are seldom
offered and fetch considerable sums from competitive series
specialists. This rich honey-gold representative shows wisps of
eye-catching lavender color. Radiant luster glitters over
impeccably preserved surfaces. The headdress elements and eagle's
feathers are strongly rendered, cementing this piece among the
finest survivors from a mintage of 606,000 coins. Population: 6 in
66, 0 finer (8/16).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 289A, PCGS# 7948, Greysheet# 8610)
Weight: 4.18 grams
Metal: 90% Gold, 10% Copper
