Description

1793 C-4 Half Cent, VF Details
Well-Detailed First-Year Type Coin

1793 1/2 C C-4, B-4, Low R.3 -- Corrosion -- NGC Details. VF. First-year cents and half cents are always in demand, but pieces with any degree of detail remaining are typically out of reach for budget-restricted collectors. This finely granular, medium brown example may prove to be more affordable. It shows a bold, even strike with little wear. All legends are clear, and the border beading is virtually complete. There is an old mark in the lower-left reverse margin and there are a few small ticks on Liberty's cheek. Our EAC grade VG8.
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4-5/2016), lot 3033, which realized $4,700.
