Description
(1670-75) FARTH St. Patrick Farthing Fine 12 PCGS. Breen-214. Identifiable by the blundered spelling on the obverse, QVIESAT for QVIESCAT; identified as "extremely rare" by Breen, though doubtless other examples have come to light since. The design details are significantly worn but well-centered on the chocolate-brown planchet, and the brass insert on the reverse covers the crown and the tip of the harp. Interestingly, an examination of the Heritage archives suggests that this is the first example of this variety offered by the firm.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# AUAR, PCGS# 42, Greysheet# 409)
