People's Republic gold Proof Scalloped "Year of the Horse" 10000 Yuan (Kilo) 2002 UNC, Shanghai mint, KM1427, CC-1291. Mintage: 15. Lunar series. Serial #3 on edge. An astounding and expansive modern rarity from China, struck from a miniscule mintage of just 15 pieces, as this kilo Lunar series typically was. The piece on offer showcases a lively obverse vignette of two galloping horses atop watery expanses. The first we've handled of this elusive type since 2010 and sure to entice the modern Chinese collector. Accompanied by the original box and COA #0003.
