Bern. Canton gold 2 Ducat 1796 MS65+ Prooflike NGC, KM154, Fr-179, HMZ-2-212h. An immaculate example of this 18th century "Double Ducat" featuring the classic Bern Swiss Bear imagery, which is exquisitely framed by a black backdrop created from the expansive fields. Almost assuredly a near-consensus specimen overall, this is the highest graded of the nine PL-designated examples known to NGC.Metal: Gold
